Inside the mind of a hedge fund executive...

Imagine you’re a hedge fund CEO or senior executive.
You’ve always had an inflated ego, and going to Wharton for an MBA definitely didn’t help in that regard. You interned at GS for the summer of 2003 and told all your friends about it, probably even brought it up oh so casually on dates. When you were hired as a trader by a moderately good to great fund, you probably lost a good deal of friends from your previous life, because they “just don’t get you now.” You’re in a different league than them, even your classmates that now work at lesser funds. You act friendly, liking Facebook posts, returning their calls, but there’s a nagging feeling that they’re holding you back. That you’ve made it, and you don’t need some loser that doesn’t even work on the East Coast.
Jump ahead a few years
It’s September 20th, 2008. Bear Stearns closed months earlier, Lehman went bankrupt a few days ago. "Buddies" of yours from both funds have been texting you, some you know from college. Maybe you’ll take pity on them and put in a good word, maybe you’ll tell them nothing’s available right now and that you’re sorry. You don’t tell them you were part of your fund's effort to short sell theirs into oblivion. Maybe you really are sorry though. What you’re more sorry about, however, is that your bonuses are probably going to be shit for a few years. They could even dip into five figures, god forbid. Your thoughts are of course directed to the millions of people losing their jobs across the country by the news, but inevitably your bonus reduction resurfaces as your biggest concern. “It’s not like I can do anything,” you say, after downing some wine. You go to sleep fairly easily, while across the country, innumerable people are forced to contemplate moving.
Let’s jump ahead a few more years
It’s mid-March, 2020. At this point, its become evident that COVID-19 is going to ravage the world, in some capacity (not gonna put politics into this because that’s not the point). As either a CEO or senior executive at a mid-range hedge fund, your thoughts gravitate towards your craft. It’s clear the market is going to tank, so you do what you do best. You short the shit out of several clearly sinking industries (https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/31/investing/short-sellers-market-coronavirus/index.html). But you don't stop there. You go on CNBC, Fox Business, maybe even the BBC, and announce doom and gloom. Doing this will get people to dump their stocks, meaning your shorts print even more money. Oh well, if there’s a positive to be gained from this whole thing it’s your fund making good money, right? By late March or early April, your wife convinces you that going with the kids to the Hampton’s would be the best choice, since the upper east side is getting a little claustrophobic. You’ll need to cancel your two week St. Barts vacation, what a bummer. You rent out a nice beach house in Sag Harbor for 125k a month, managing to beat out the other bidder by upping them by 10k. Once again, millions of people are losing their jobs, and you’re shorting the companies they work for. What else should you do?
Only a few months forward this time
It’s October. Weeks turned into months, and while you’ve started getting back to the city more and more, you’re still staying in Sag. Sometimes you have family friends over for an ostensibly socially distanced wine + cigar. You don’t think much of the events of the summer, aside from that one tweet you had PR send out in July. Your kids might have thoughts, you haven’t asked.
Just a few more months, I promise
It’s January. For really no other reason than the prospect of making more money, you along with a few other funds have decided to open naked shorts on GameStop. While technically not allowed, there are loopholes. Why would the loopholes be there, if not to be exploited, right? Not like you don’t do the same thing with your taxes.
Then, the unthinkable happens
A bunch of retail investors, led by a specific part of Reddit, decide to fuck your position by dramatically raising the share price. Since you firmly believe these people incapable of sticking to such an audacious play, you do nothing. Before long though, you start to become slightly unnerved by how steady the growth of the stock is. It's approaching $100, and you're losing hundreds of thousands to millions every day on short interest. So, you decide to take action. You get on CNBC, and cry about fundamentals. About volatility crushing these people. They don't listen, and keep buying. A week passes with you and your rich friends trying various strategies, none of it working. You're aware of another fund leaning on a popular trading app to force them into not accepting buy orders for GME, amongst others. You're not above sacrificing pride for money, so you announce your fund has closed its shorts. You're lying, of course. What kind of looks what you get at future parties if you cowed to these people? No, fuck that. You've read all the right books, been to the right schools, made the right friends, networked at the right parties and functions. You will not close, everything in your life has conditioned you not to. In fact, you'll double down. You go on CNBC some more. Artificially lower the stock price by trading between a few other funds. None of it's working, and you're intensely aware of another potential gamma squeeze on Friday. Restrictions on buying help during the day, but after hours, the stock jumps. That momentum carries it into a solid Friday. You won't budge, but at this point you're losing millions of dollars a day.
So, here we are
These people do not care about you. You're the least of their concerns, actually. They care about money and fund image, in that order. We have a real chance to make guys exactly like this hurt where it counts (for them), and I want people to understand that. I'm not saying throw your rent into GME. I'm saying you have the chance to really be a part of something, to screw the people that have been doing the screwing for your whole life. The house has been running a fixed casino, and you have the chance to hit back.
Do not close. We have them, and they know it. We're winning, and if we keep winning they will give in.

Unpopular opinion: Online should be advanced to 1911-1914

Unpopular opinion: Online should be advanced to 1911-1914
Okay, we are done with clickbait title and can start to talk now. Soo, why would I think that online needs to be advanced? Short answer Mexico, Buildings, Economy, and longer answer well, its more complicated.
First of all I think it would be really wise for Rockstar and TakeTwo to release Red Dead Redemption 1 Remake on RDR2 engine, most of the work with New Austin and Blackwater area are already done, its all just needs a bit refreshing( Well, in terms of tumbleweed more like a burial ), It could be done as standalone or as big DLC to RDR2 ( Specially since a lot of people asking for a remake, also PC never got first game ). This way we would get a RDR Online that's " up to date " with a Remake and will utilize complete RDR world map. Also as a bonus RDR map of 1911-1914 map has more buildings and most importantly ranches. Lets be honest, they would never add new ranches to 1898 map, just for them " magically " go out of existence in 1899 map and 1907 epilogue. ( Even GTA did not do that and advanced their timeline up to date with all new content updates ).
Few examples of added buildings in epilogue 1907 ( Credit to Noru122 yt channel )

With bunch of small houses, changes within whole map. Doubt all of that should be " ignored " and not used by players.
Lets now speak of heists, bunch of people at least. Well, lets think from TakeTwo perspective, why would you add heists if your players are not spending their money/gold? Look, there nothing expensive to buy, a lot of players are sitting on hundreds of thousands of cash, hundreds of gold even now. How they gonna encourage people to buy gold bars if they have a stockpile now? ( Yes, all these nerfs to income for cash and gold are directly were aimed at new players ) And for old players, how we gonna be asked spend them? What they gonna add? A pair of jeans for 5000 dollars? An horse for 300 gold? Or its going to be like in GTA Online, where car performs same way as old car for 20-50k but now costs 1-2 million. They need bigger window for implementation of content, " cage " of being set 1 year before singleplayer is choking potential to add anything major, since it will be illogical to exist a year before and then vanish without a trace. Game needs money sinks before economy will get completely destroyed.
Like I already said, even epilogue adds new buildings in free roam, which means more variety to be utilized for content, also after main events so places are now vacant or unused, they can also be utilized. Second, why not use ideas of GTA Online that work? ( For incoming jokes of Mk2 Oppressors, yeah-yeah you are unique and completely fresh ). Example would be yacht, in GTA its mosty flex unit and has no practicality, but it serves a good money dump, so why not add, lets say
https://preview.redd.it/iuz2nuhllnb61.png?width=1800&format=png&auto=webp&s=6b010d2e7fef30e7a52701f28c5eed04b259ad9a
It would be basically copy-paste idea of GTA, but in future maybe we could be " expansion " for it, like done some inner area into planning room to stage a heist on Guarma, since there was basically a war, its a good opportunity to rob the place.
What else?
https://preview.redd.it/zvt53ra3mnb61.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=994295152a07870084dd87d138b7fbbee60b33c3
Remember this guys? Why not utilize them in same way GTA had import/export warehouse? Basically we invest in them and buy a property where we could do a " requested " collection or separate number of horses, stagecoaches and etc to steal, store and sale. Maybe expansion for moonshiner where we could buy our own saloon with illegal poker, blackjack tables? Maybe counterfeit cash business? Tabaco production? Wagon upgrades as more/better horses, adding new wheels and etc? Even more customization for everything including ranches and houses, mansions. Maybe same approach as GTA casino penthouse, where you buy separate rooms and spend ton of cash for individual items to decorate. Copying GTA ideas is not bad, if done correctly and taken only good ones, while leaving crazy stuff aside.
There are so many things that could be added if the game did not have those shackles on " pre epilogue " map.
( And for love of everything that is holy, Blackwater NEEDs a gunsmith ) END ------------------- --------------------- --------------------- --------------------- ---------------------

I work at a crooked casino. You don't gamble with money here.

Hi, everybody. My name is Sid, and I’m an addict.
It took me a long time to accept that. But when you take a job in a casino just so that you can be there all the time and try to gain an edge, you’re an addict. It’s obvious even to me. More so to my family and friends, who I barely see anymore.
It’s not pills or coke, booze or heroin that I’m hooked on. I’m addicted to gambling.
The casino that made me so obsessed is not an ordinary one, though. It’s far from ordinary.
You don’t play for money at Fantasy Casino. You play for your dreams.
I hear you laughing.
But have you ever had a really, really great dream? One that got so good you snapped awake the second it started to get really excellent?
Well, imagine that times a thousand. Times a million.
A dream so real and so perfect that all of your fantasies become reality. Time stretches out. You feel like you are there forever. A lifetime passes before your return.
Infinite wealth, the ability to fly like superman, you’re surrounded by sex and beautiful people all day as you relax in a palace built to your mind’s most exacting specifications of perfection.
But then you wake up, and in an instant it is gone.
The power, the wealth, the endless sex and supernatural powers.
Everything is suddenly NORMAL again.
And so you go back to the casino.
I went back to the casino.
But the problem with gambling is that you don’t always win. And when you lose, suddenly the winnings are gone as well, vanished without a trace. All I knew was that I had to have that feeling again.
So I went inside the giant building and then followed the secret signs which led to a door that led to a staircase going downwards.
I went down the stairs and knocked on the door marked “Private” and waited for an answer.
“Password.”
The voice on the other side of the black door waited for my response.
“Seramth Gin.” I said the unnatural words carefully and deliberately, still not knowing their meaning.
A friend had told me the password, a fellow gambler who I would later find dead in his apartment. His corpse white, bloated, and maggot-infested.
His eyes were black and filled with blood which streamed from his eye sockets like tears. He had bit his tongue clean off and his fingernails were found lodged in various surfaces throughout his apartment. Like he had been trying to claw his way out of a steel box that only he could see.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. That was later. At this point I was still hopeful for another wonderful dream. Still thankful for his advice to seek out the place.
The door opened and I walked inside. It was the same as it had been the day before, only less busy at this time – still early afternoon.
I approached the table I had been sitting at the night before.
Poker – Texas Hold ‘em: Ten dream limit – the sign read.
The rules were simple. You got a stack of chips. If you doubled them, you received a dream. If you lost them, you lost a dream.
I wasn’t concerned about losing dreams yet, I still didn’t understand exactly what that meant.
When I lost my first stack of chips, I quickly bought in again. And again. And again.
Pretty soon I realized I had lost eight dreams with no winnings whatsoever. I was in a slump. A losing streak.
I decided to go home and count my losses. Literally, since I had no idea what that even meant.
As I got up to leave the table, the dealer looked at me. His eyes were remorseless and cold.
“See the cashier on your way out,” he said, handing me eight black chips.
I gulped and walked over to the glass window where the cashier sat waiting. Handing him the eight chips, he raised his eyebrows and clicked his tongue.
“That’s a shame. Hold out your hand please.”
Two men in black suits came up behind me suddenly and stood on either side of me, intimidating in their stature and demeanour.
I did as he asked and held out my hand with the palm facing up.
The cashier pulled out a strange-looking device from beneath the counter. It had a vial of vermillion-coloured liquid at the top that was attached to the rest of it which resembled a gun with a hypodermic needle at the end.
I screamed and tried to pull away, but the two men grabbed me and held my arm through the window. Thrashing and elbowing them, I tried to get away but it was useless.
The cashier injected the stuff into my veins quickly and it felt cold and slimy going through my system. I could feel it suddenly in my heart, turning it cold and then up into my mind and my lungs and all extremities causing me to shake and violently seize. I writhed on the floor, blood pouring from my ears and my eyes.
Finally the feeling settled down into a numbness that prickled the insides of my blood vessels. It wasn’t until later, once I realized what the casino really was, that I found out what they had done.
I went home with the certainty that they had injected me with something. If winning had resulted in the greatest dream I had ever had – essentially an almost never-ending fantasy – what would happen after a loss?
Nightmares. That was what it would be. I was sure of it.
I settled into bed that night and closed my eyes, drifting off to sleep quickly after such an emotionally exhausting afternoon.
As soon as my eyes closed, they opened again and it was morning.
It felt as if I had not slept at all. My mind was fuzzy and it was difficult to focus. My eyes wanted to close again but my alarm was telling me that it was time to get up for work, so I hit the “dismiss” button and hopped in the shower.
I threw on my clothes and went out the door. At work I noticed a few people looking at me strangely, but I didn’t realize until someone pointed it out to me that my shirt was on inside-out. At this point I was still working in an office doing commodities trading and such lapses were frowned upon.
If you couldn’t focus enough to put your shirt on properly in the morning, how could you focus enough to get the work done in such a demanding environment? Millions of dollars changing hands with each transaction meant that such trivial things were put under a magnifying glass and coupled with other subsequent mistakes each following day after that, I found myself in the boss’s office by the end of the week being handed my walking papers.
Desperate for rest after days of not feeling any benefit from sleep, I went back to the casino.
They knew just by looking at me how to dig their claws in further. After a couple hours I had managed to win myself a dream.
They handed me the complimentary cocktail as they had the time before. I hadn’t realized the significance of it and still didn’t, despite the unusual vermillion colour of the drink. I swallowed it in one gulp and went out the door practically dancing and clicking my heels, ready to go home and feel rested again.
My dream that night was wonderful. Everything I had hoped for in many ways.
But not as good as the first time. I wanted that feeling back again.
Knowing that it was a dream the whole time and realizing that it was going to end seemed to shorten the fantasy, made it seem hollow and manufactured.
If I could win again maybe it would be like that first time, I thought.
The casino drew me in again and again. I found myself a zombie most days, exhausted, at my wit’s end. Ready to call it quits for good and say goodbye.
But then I would win again and it would all seem to be alright for a while.
My debt kept growing and growing with nearly every trip. The hypodermic needle would be plunged into my skin and every time they had to hold me down. Every time I would feel a little more empty. A little more hollow.
Waking up every day began to feel the same. Nothing had definition or purpose.
“You’re here all the time,” one of the goons whispered to me as they shot the needle into my vein the time after that. “Haven’t you figured it out yet? You should just get a job here and then at least you’ll be in on the secret.”
I applied the next day and got an interview with the boss. I would find out later that if you got someone to apply there you got a one dream bonus.
In his office, the well-dressed man was sitting behind a massive polished ebony desk. The room was adorned with paintings, sculptures, and other high-priced artwork. He had photos everywhere of himself shaking hands with world leaders, new and old, for hundreds of years.
His face never changed. Never aged.
“So, you want to work with us? Tired of dreamless nights without end? You want to have some relief, is that it?”
“Yes. Please. Anything. I’ve been coming here for so long and it’s an endless cycle. I want back what I’ve lost but I keep finding myself more and more in debt with each visit.”
“Ah, so do you understand it now, then? What the ‘injections’ are?”
It finally dawned on me, sitting there. Not injections at all. They weren’t putting something in us. They were taking something out. The vermillion-coloured liquid in the vials – our dreams.
“If I take a job with you, will the same rules apply? Will they still take my sleep, my rest, every time I lose?”
“Yes. We can’t have the employees living by different rules than everyone else. But we will give you an alternative injection, so that you feel well-rested when you come in for your shift.”
“I’ll do it. I need to rest. I need to get some meaningful sleep. My life has been miserable ever since coming here.”
“Well, I can’t promise that this will help,” he said, getting up from his desk with a hypodermic gun in his hand. The vial of fluid sitting atop this one was jet-black and looked evil and poisonous. He rolled up his sleeves as he primed it and I watched a few beads of it drip oil-like out of the tip of the needle.
“What the hell is that!? I don’t want that stuff in me!”
“But you need to sleep, my dear worker. I can’t have you passing out at the blackjack table like a narcoleptic! You agreed to this, after all. You wanted to rest, and the only way for that to happen is for you to have SOME sort of dream. Not everyone is as lucky as you, you know. To have that wonderful vermillion fluid in your veins. Some people come to us begging to take it from them. Some of our employees for example, the ones who do the recruitment for us, are full of this black stuff.”
“What?” I had gotten up from the chair and was backing away from him towards the door. But I found it was locked as he approached.
“First you have to tell me the password, Sid.”
“Seramth Gin.” I said the words that I had said every time to gain access to the casino, only this time I pictured the letters and rearranged them in my mind.
“Nightmares.”
He smiled as he injected me with the vial of black hate, and it went into my veins feeling hot and unpleasant. I began to sweat and the beads of it turned cold on my skin as I shivered.
I’ll sleep tonight. I might even wake up feeling rested. But as long as I live and work at that casino, I’ll be afraid to dream again. Because now my unconscious hours are occupied by the most terrifying experiences imaginable. Nightmares beyond imagining in their awfulness. That is my fate.
Unless… Just maybe, I can win one more time.

Hype decks and popular series of playing cards
Gotta Collect 'Em All: Hype Decks and Popular Playing Card Series
When you're into cardistry, you'll know a thing or two about playing cards. They are, after all, the tools of the trade. And you'll quickly discover that there's a lot of different custom decks out there, many of which are great for card flourishing. A vast amount of cards that have already been produced, and there's steady flow of new cards that are being released on an ongoing basis.
Arguably the most popular playing cards beloved by cardists and collectors alike are what some refer to as "hype decks". These are decks that have effectively become a brand of their own by virtue of their sheer popularity. In the last few years alone there are several "brands" that have generated a huge wave of momentum. Almost every new release is quickly sold out, and previous releases don't take long to fetch high prices in the secondary market, as buyers scramble to "collect 'em all". In this article we'll introduce you to some of the more popular series of this sort, which are beloved by both cardists and by playing card collectors.
FONTAINES
The Fontaine brand is one of the biggest and most recognizable brands in the world of playing cards today, especially in cardistry circles. When you first see a Fontaine deck of cards you might wonder why. After all, what is there to get excited about card backs which have a lower-case "f" put together in a simple and minimalist design, and card faces that are mostly standard?
The reason for the success of this brand is the man behind it, Zach Mueller. Zach began making a name for himself with his creative cardistry videos, some of which went viral on youtube. Inspired by the iconic Jerry's Nugget casino deck which appears later on this list, around 2013 Zach whipped up a simple design of his own, printed the deck, and began using it in his cardistry videos. It wasn't even originally conceived as deck that would be published more widely, nor was including it in his cardistry videos originally intended as a marketing gimmick. But the popularity of his videos did have the result of producing a demand for decks like the one Zach was using. When he tried his hand at crowdfunding one, it became an instant success.
Zach built on this success with further releases of the same design but in different colours, and later expanded his Fontaine brand to include clothing and other merchandise. Today the Fontaine company has a significant number of releases every year, and they are typically so much in demand that each sells out in minutes. While many of the initial decks didn't evidence much variety aside from recolouring the back design, in recent times we have witnessed some more innovation, such as collaborations with other artists, and a UV black-light edition.

ORBITS
The Orbit decks come from magician Chris "Orbit" Brown, with involvement from designer Daniel Schneider. The Orbit series is extremely popular with card flourishers, and it's not surprising why. The circle design on the card backs makes it ideal for cardistry. The first version of the deck was blue, had a print run of only 2500, and only managed to hit its Kickstarter target on the final day when it was put up for crowdfunding in 2015. In contrast, today collectors can't get enough of them! The fourth edition alone had a print run of ten times that amount, and the first few versions of the deck will now cost a pretty penny on the secondary market - if you can find them.
Common to most of the decks in the series is of course the signature circle look of the card backs. But there's also the regular presence of light-hearted jokers, mini-astronauts, and even tiny orbitting rockets on the card backs, all of which capture something of the galactic and space theme, and add elements of warm humor. There have been minor tweaks to the design to ensure that each deck is not just a simple recolouring of the previous version. The V7 deck is noteworthy for its retro pink and blue colours, and for including a tribute to the failed mission of the space shuttle Challenger in 1986, and has the added bonus of being a very cleverly marked deck.
The face cards of the Orbit decks mostly feature a style borrowed from the classic Arrco decks, which gives them a slightly different feel from your typical Bicycle deck, while ensuring that they still have a very familiar, recognizable, and practical look. Some of the decks feature even members of the Orbit crew as the court card characters. It is certainly a successful formula, and these are versatile playing cards that are both novel and familiar enough to make them suit a variety of purposes, from card flourishing to card magic. As with most other entries on this list, the success of the series has generated an increased demand for the first decks in the series, which are not easy to get hold of.

JERRY'S NUGGET
The history of the Jerry's Nugget decks is a fascinating one, and it even includes a great detective story. The short version is that these striking red and blue decks were first printed in the early 1970s for Jerry's Nugget Casino in Las Vegas. They ended up in storage instead of being used at the casino, and eventually made their way to the gift shop, where they were sold for a dollar or two each. At this point they were discovered by some big name cardists, who began popularizing them via their videos, and spoke highly of their handling qualities, which were the result of printing methods that couldn't be replicated with modern methods. The demand for them grew, but by this time they were sold out. With a limited supply and increased demand, they slowly became a holy grail for collectors, prices typically reaching $500 per deck on the market.
Around 2019 Lee Asher became involved with a project to reprint the cards, to make them readily available again, and put them in the hands of a new generations of cardists and collectors. A deal was brokered between Expert Playing Card Company and Jerry's Nugget Casino, and with the help of an incredibly successful Kickstarter project that fetched nearly half a million dollars, a new edition of Jerry's Nugget decks hit the market.
The new decks are almost like the original, but consist of a Modern Feel version printed by USPCC and a Vintage Feel version printed by EPCC. The scene was ripe for capitalizing on the popularity of these classic decks, and so the deck was subsequently reprinted in colours like Teal, Coral, Black, Steel Grey, Yellow, Orange, Green, and purple. There are also some limited editions like Pink, and there are even special limited editions with gilding. Many card flourishers love the minimalist look of this series, the famous name and iconic look, and the variety of different colours make them ideal for collectors.

CHERRY CASINO
The Jerry's Nugget decks aren't the only decks that capitalize on the public interest in old-time casinos. This is also the concept that lies at the heart of the Cherry Casino decks, which is a series of playing cards produced under the Pure Imagination label. Pure Imagination Projects was founded in 2013 by Derek McKee, and the first Cherry Casino deck was produced around 2015 in a bright aqua colour. The idea was to draw on the image of an old time casino, hence the classic cherry artwork familiar from slot machines, an iconic symbol of gambling. Several versions then followed in successive years, as the Cherry Casino decks slowly grew in popularity
One of the drawcards of this series is the bold metallic ink used on the cardbacks for most of these decks, which instantly sets them apart from your average deck. One of my personal favourite colours in this series is the Tahoe Blue, which is inspired by one of the clearest and deepest lakes in the United States, Lake Tahoe. The use of metallic ink on card backs creates a gorgeous and inviting pearlescent blue that is hard to get enough of.
The Cherry Casino decks are also very versatile and practical, and the relatively standard card faces makes them ideal for card magic or for playing card games. Yet the striking card backs also makes them very appealing for cardists and collectors. This creates the ideal combination of something striking and something simple, which is the greatest strength of the Cherry Casino series. The vibrant and eye-catching colours, set them apart from the competition, and give them the magnetic quality that collectors look for, while they remain functional and suitable for a variety of uses. The first decks in the series are especially prized by collectors, since they are long out of print, and entered the market long before anybody realized how successful this series would become over time.

VIRTUOSO
Virtuoso, commonly called The Virts, is a group of Singaporean cardists, originally founded by Huron Low and Kevin Ho. Other team members joined them over time, and they began releasing cardistry videos on their youtube channel. Around 2012 one of their cardistry videos went viral and was eventually featured on the Discovery Channel, which only increased the growing interest in their work, especially their creative card flourishing videos.
It was also around this time that The Virts came up with the idea of designing a deck of card that was specifically geared towards cardistry. They used a design that was strongly geometric in flavour, and where even the court cards and number cards were optimized for card flourishing, to enhance the visual aesthetic of cards in motion. Today it's quite common for a deck to be optimized for cardistry, and there's a ready market waiting to buy decks like this. But at the time this was a groundbreaking idea, and even somewhat of a financially risky one. But card flourishers welcomed the very first Virtuoso deck with open arms, and the deck proved to be more successful than ever imagined.
Since the release of their first deck, The Virts have continued to release follow-up decks on a somewhat regular basis. Typically each new release is accompanied by a flashy video that showcases the amazing cardistry of The Virts themselves, which is cleverly accentuated by their cardistry-friendly cards. Their signature geometric design is common to all of the decks released so far, and the eye-catching colours and consistently handling qualioty ensure that card flourishers love it. Recent times have seen the rate of their releases slow down, but news in 2020 about their latest deck - which is scheduled to come out in 2021 - generated a new wave of excitement. Loyalty to the Virtuoso brand and decks is evidenced by the fact that many people were ready to pre-order the new deck sight unseen.

ORGANIC PLAYING CARDS
One of the more fun entries in this list are the food-inspired decks created by Organic Playing Cards (OPC). This brand is originally the brainchild of Cameron Toner and Nathan Lex, who started OPC while they were in college, combining Cameron's love for card magic and Nathan's love for cardistry. The company has since evolved, and others have come on board as they grew. Their original goal was simply to produce a fun deck of banana-themed cards, now known as Peelers V1. Since then they've gone on to produce a cornucopia of fruit-inspired novelty decks.
The concept of what you can expect from an OPC deck is a simple one. Typically it's a deck that features two pieces of fruit on the card backs, some humorous changes to the court cards that incorporate that fruit, an adjusted colour scheme, and a fun take on the tuck box. For example, the Squeezers V1, V2, and V3 decks are orange, lemon, and grape-fruit themed retrospectively, and the tuck boxes are designed to look like juice boxes, complete with an ingredient list. The Snackers decks are themed on strawberries and blackberries, and come in a resealable package typical of a bag of candies, and even include an artificially added scent that smells like the fruit.
The latest additions to this popular series have included an avocado themed deck (Avocardos), and in somewhat of a departure from the usual fruit theme and look, a corn-themed harvest deck (Shuckers). So they are exploring new directions, but they haven't run out of fruit just yet, and I look forward to see what they come up with next.

WHAT TO BUY AND HOW MUCH TO PAY?
Buying and pricing
In the end, you should buy what you like, not what other people tell you to like. But how much do these decks typically cost? Latest releases typically sell at retail price, and don't cost a fortune. Although in some cases, especially with in-demand brands like Fontaines, you have to be right at your computer when a new deck is released, and be among the first set of buyers who are fortunate enough process a purchase in the few minutes before they are sold out. Otherwise you'll have to rely on resellers, some of which can have inflated prices.
Older decks for virtually all of these series, however, tend to command much higher prices. This is simply a matter of supply and demand: as the number of collectors grows, more and more people want them, while the supply is limited, because the original decks are long out of print and out of stock at retailers. You'll have to rely on the secondary market to try to source these, and expect to dig deeper in your wallet if you want to get first and second edition decks of many of the above series.
Investing and re-selling
When collectors see some of these decks selling for over $100 on the secondary market, it can be tempting to think that it's a good idea to buy a stash of decks in the hope that you'll hit a jackpot with a brick of decsk that will be worth a bundle down the line. The reality is that this is hard to predict. When most of these decks were first released, nobody knew that they would become big hits over time. It's only as a series or brand generates momentum and establishes a loyal following, that the prices of the original editions start to rise.
For example, I have a Peelers V1 deck, and these are now worth up to US$150 today. At the time I picked it up, it was just a novelty deck from an unknown brand, and I used it as an everyday deck for card games and card magic. Who was to know the success that OPC would later become? Meanwhile I've just been using it casually for card games! Much the same is true for the very first Fontaines deck, which costs a fortune now, but at the time was really just an ordinary deck. The playing card market is fickle and future hits are almost impossible to predict. If you want to earn money, rather than gambling on playing cards, you're better off spending your time working for money at your regular day job.
Other popular series
Are there other series besides the ones covered above? For sure. Daniel Schneider's series of Black Roses deck also has its passionate collectors, as do the Golden Nugget decks, the Gemini Casino decks, and the NOC decks. The Planets series by Vanda was also popular for some time, but with the release of all the planets this is obviously now complete. There are also people who collect anything produced by a particular brand, such as Anyone Playing Cards. Perhaps even that new release you're thinking of purchasing will become the start of a successful new series or brand - you can never really tell!
https://preview.redd.it/ppwyhb5mhcg61.jpg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=75a4ee69f8af72d0c022c24d50e3581b80066959
HAS THE INDUSTRY JUMPED THE SHARK?
More and more, faster and faster
In the first few years of the boom in the playing card market that was created by the arrival of crowdfunding around 2009, new releases were typically produced either as a mass market deck, or as a numbered limited edition. That seems to have changed in the last few years, and the number of permutations for a particular deck seems to be more than ever before. First of all we get recoloured versions of the same deck, multiple times over. Then in addition we get a numbered deck, and a gilded deck... and multiple combinations of all of these. It starts to become impossibles for collectors to get a complete collection.
In addition, in some cases, a very limited edition of a popular series is produced at a high price tag, like the $75 Cherry Casino House Decks, putting it out of the reach of most collectors, except those with very deep pockets. In other cases, companies are releasing decks in different colours so fast (here's looking at you, Jerry's Nuggets), that collectors can hardly keep up. The inevitable question arises whether some of these developments are unhealthy.
How much is too much?
All this understandably makes some collectors begin to feel a little jaded, and wonder if some of these series have jumped the shark. Are some creators starting to take the mickey out of collectors, knowing that they will want to "collect 'em all", even if they have to spend ridiculous amounts to do so? Is this capitalism gone mad, and are producers becoming too motivated by trying to make big bucks?
If this trend continues, it can start to feel like price-gouging and greed, and creators run the risk of sucking the joy out of collecting, and losing their customers. All this means that producers have to be careful in the decisions they make about what they release, and not simply be motivated by making money.
Collect 'em all?
But there's a lesson in this too. It doesn't make sense to mindlessly collect every single thing. But if you do think carefully about what you want to collect, it can be a lot of fun to collect series like the ones covered here. By all means collect 'em! But maybe just not all of them. At least, not all the time.

Ended my gambling career (for now) on a high note - jackpot handpay to end 2020. My thoughts and ramblings as a now-retired gambler.

Warning: long rambling stories ahead. I am bored and waiting to get through my first day back at work since before Christmas. You've been warned!
I've been going to the casino pretty regularly for the past few years. Before that, I played occasionally. I exclusively play slots. I view it as a night out - first with friends back when I brought $50 and played penny denom minimum bet spins and prayed to win $20, and then eventually shifting my mindset to playing higher bets and denominations. I hit my first jackpot handpay a couple of years ago. I hit $3700 on a $27 bet on a Geisha machine. I've hit a few other jackpots here and there, culminating with my biggest jackpot ever this past summer. I hit $12K on a $50 bet on a Pompeii slot machine.
Well, the long story short is that I have fallen out of love with gambling. I have somehow managed to have a positive ROI on gambling. I track my withdrawls and win on a spreadsheet. To put it bluntly: I have been extremely lucky over the past few years. I know that slots are not a viable way to win money in the long run, so I made a decision a few months ago to "retire" from gambling at the end of 2020.
I went to my local casino last Wednesday. It just so happens when I hit a jackpot that I usually do it within the first half hour or so I'm at the casino. Well, it happened again. After going up $600 or so on another slot machine (I don't remember the name), I went to one of my most hated/favorite old school slots - Zeus dollar denomination. One of my worst moments in all of gambling was a few years ago. I got a bonus round on the Zeus dollar denomination on max bet of $45 a spin. I was BEYOND excited. I've seen Youtube videos where people have won tens of thousands of dollars in that exact scenario. Much to my shock, I won nothing. In that game, you don't win anything for triggering the bonus. So I actually *lost* $45 on getting the bonus. I cashed out and left immediately.
Anyway, last week I hit a modest $4500. It was exciting...but not as exciting as I thought it should be. I was cool, calm, and...detached. The wins didn't mean much to me, and the losses mean absolutely nothing. My wife and I are in the EXTREMELY fortunate position that losing $500 or so every week or two at the casino is affordable. I'm not ignorant to how lucky we are to be in this position.
After getting paid out, I played a bit longer. But that hand pay drove home the realization that I had a few months ago: it was time to stop gambling. If I can't get pumped about a big win like that, and if I'm not even phased a little bit by losing, it's just not worth gambling any more. I used to go for entertainment, but even now gambling doesn't provide that much.
As I sit now, I am up roughly $18K over three years of slots. Not bad, but not life changing. Enough that I bought my wife a Burberry and Louis Vuitton handbag on separate occasions. The rest if stashed in savings or in an investment account somewhere. But I am 100% committed to being done. At least for 2021, and probably longer.
If anyone is interested in hearing my thoughts on how to win...I don't have any insight to share. It's luck. I got lucky. I know I got lucky. The usual tropes about setting win and loss thresholds is good advice. Sometimes I chased payouts and hit them. Sometimes I chased and lost. But I managed to hit more than miss, and for that I'm lucky. And thankful.
Anyway. I don't have a major takeaway or anything. I don't have many people I can talk about this with in my personal life, so I figured I'd share a bit of my story here.
If you do gamble, please do so responsibly. Good luck, and try to have fun. If you're not having fun, it's probably not the right way to spend your time or money.
EDIT:
I just wanted to say to anyone who reads this in the future that I appreciate the nice responses and PMs from people. It's nice to share a positive experience with others! I sincerely hope that if any of you choose to play in the future, you choose to do so responsibly. Gambling can be a hugely problematic lifestyle for some people. Stay safe. (end of preaching here).
I also want to take a second to address some comments from some people about slots being skill based. This is 100% false. The concept of slots being skill based in any way is demonstrably untrue with three seconds of reasonable thinking. If we accept that there is a hypothetical slot game which is based on skill and not pure luck, what are the consequences of that? First of all, this information would leak out. There would be no way to contain it. If one person can solve the system, another an as well. Subsequently, someone would write a book on the subject. Think about all the poker and blackjack strategy books out there. These are games where skillful play can increase your odds of winning. Last I checked, there aren't any books or Supersytem-level analyses from prominent individuals willing to stake their names and reputations on publishing a "slot technique" book. There's a reason for this. And also - think about this: casinos still carry blackjack tables for a reason: they still have an edge to win. If there is a surefire way for individuals to win when playing slots, casinos would 100% for sure take these games out of circulation. Casinos are not in the business of giving away money. Any claim there is a foolproof way to win money playing slots does not make sense when critical thinking is applied to the circumstances.
Slots are not like card games. Finding and playing only games where there is a "must win by" progressive is not the same thing as skillful play. That's more akin to something like card counting in blackjack. Many people who design slot machines and engineer the software behind the scenes have posted on Reddit and elsewhere that wins are based on random number generators running behind every spin. There is literally no skill involved - you win or lose each spin based on pure random luck.
I am saying this because there are a number of people who come to this subreddit to look for ways to cheat the system and get easy money. I see posts like this fairly often, and I'm only browsing this subreddit occasionally. Gambling is not, and should not, be a way for anyone looking to make a quick buck. If you're looking to get an edge playing slots because you need to pay bills or make a quick buck, you are already in serious trouble. Do not buy into the delusion that you can get an edge or guarantee a win. People saying this are snake oil salesmen who do not care for you or your well-being.
Anyway. I'm going to stop monitoring this post. I'm still open to receiving PMs or messages, but I've had my fun with this so far. I could do with fewer trolls, but this is the internet. I knew what to expect. Bon chance, everyone!

Another 10 Overlooked Single Player Indie Games

There are also some links within the first link that discuss indie local multiplayer games as well.
Introduction
We're all familiar with the Hotline Miami's, Hollow Knight's, and Celeste's of the world. These are some of the indie games that hit the big time. Of course, for every one of these games, there's 100 other indie games that have been glossed over, relegated to a spot in a digital store few people will ever find themselves in. I wanted to bring attention to some of these lesser known indie games once again.
Details About the List
I'm going to order them according to Metacritic Critic Ratings. Steam is the only one on the list with all 10 games featured (Steam has 10 of them, Switch has 9 of them, PlayStation 4 has 7 of them, and Xbox One has 5 of them), but the Switch gets more reviews than the other platforms, so I will it use the Switch version of all the games for their review scores, except #8, where I will use the Steam version, since that’s the only version of it available. The two bottom games have pretty low critic ratings (60% with 1 Critic Review and 53% with 2 Critic Reviews). I personally disagree with the low scores of these two games, but it's only fair that you hear from more than just me. Keep in mind that games with only one or two User Ratings on Metacritic will not show the score. A game needs at least three User Ratings on Metacritic before the score will be shown. This is not the case for Critic Reviews.
Currently 9 of the games are on sale on Steam right now, and 5 of them are on sale on Switch. None of them are on sale on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One at the moment.
For the purpose of this post, I’m just going to stick with saying “achievements” and “getting all achievements” instead of “trophies” and “platinum trophy” since Steam has all 10 games on the list. You can basically substitute these with “trophies” and “platinum trophy” if you’re a PlayStation gamer. I will make mention of the two games on here that don’t include a platinum trophy however.
Platforms will include a link to the U.S. store page of the game for each platform. Price is in U.S. dollars.
1. Ultra Hat Dimension
2. Bot Vice
3. Valfaris
4. Inertial Drift
5. Golf Peaks
6. Horizon Shift ‘81
7. Pato Box
8. Primal Light
9. Tamashii
10. Neon Drive
Special shoutout to Valfaris which is my favorite game on the list and, again, one my favorite 2D run & guns ever.
Have you played any of these games? What are some other overlooked single player indie games?

$BFT (FoleyTrasimene II), SPAC to become Paysafe

I think that this one has been under-reported somewhat but since I work in the online gaming industry, it showed up on my radar.
This SPAC has reached a deal to bring back Paysafe to the market, at a valuation of 9 billions.
What is Paysafe?
Paysafe Group has been consolidating the market for e-wallets and alternative payment methods for years and went back into private hands 3 years ago.
They regroup all the main e-wallets used for online gambling and Forex: Skrill and Neteller and also prepaid cards (to be bought in 7/11 and the like) under the Paysafe brand.
Why e-wallets matter in the online gambling market?
E-wallets and prepaid cards represent about 25% of the volume of payments in online gambling in UK, Europe, Canada and Skrill/NetellePaysafe are by far the biggest names in this field.
https://www.fisglobal.com/-/media/fisglobal/WorldPay/Docs/Miscellaneous/Gaming%20Payments%20Report%202019
Neteller and Moneybookers (as Skrill was known then) were dominating the US alternative payment methods gambling market in the US before they got pushed out in 2007. They still have high name recognition amongst the gambling crowd and web searches in the US for these brands remain high, even if they can’t process much transactions there for gambling since many states don’t have online gambling legislations yet, or very limiting ones.
E-Wallets are often the preferred payment method for gamblers since it allows to move money from one operator site to the other quickly and cheaply. They can also use it as a bankroll segregated from their main bank account/CC and on top of that, Paysafe offers loyalty benefits to users based on their transaction volumes. As such, their user retention is very good.
The prepaid card business is also a major factor for this stock attractiveness. Prepaid cards to be bought in gas stations or the like are often preferred by gamblers who want to strictly control their gambling or those who don’t have access to a CC (maybe because they gambled too much) or those that prefer cash transactions out of privacy concerns…
Why not invest in the gambling operators instead?
Operators such as Draftkings or legacy casino groups are going to make money but the regulatory environment is harsh and gambling taxes are crazy in some states and might keep going higher.
Moreover, the regulations being so fragmented, many smaller operators push in certain states and not others and the competitive environment is broad. Remember that gambling is a fungible good. There is no difference in the casino games that the operators can offer (same game studios, same rules) and aside from bonuses and the margins on sports bets, the only differentiation is in branding, which is a thin moat on a product that often leaves the users disgruntled (losers).
Payments on the other hand are not taxed for their relationship to gambling and there are far fewer players.
How does Paysafe make money?
The margins on their products are pretty high and Paysafe charges both sides of the transaction in the case of the e-wallets and the merchant side in the case of the prepaid cards.
For the use of Skrill and Neteller wallets, Paysafe charges on average 4.5% on the merchant side for deposits and a whooping 9.9% on deposits with prepaid cards… Larger merchants certainly can negotiate these rates down but this is still a healthy fee, much higher than credit card processors.
In markets where Paysafe has established domination they charge a small deposit fee to the user and a withdrawal fee.
For now, they charge no fees to the US users in a bid to grow market share surely but that will probably end some day.
Growth opportunity:
For now, the US online gambling market is still very limited. Most states have not legalized, the majority of those who have legalized only did so for sports betting and then a handful have legalized online casino gaming (where the real money is made). The opening up of the market is bound to grow as states need money and more of the world moves online.
https://www.playusa.com/us/
It is estimated that the online gaming market could reach 25 billions a year in the US in a few years time and 150 billions worldwide.
https://www.gminsights.com/industry-analysis/online-gambling-market#:~:text=The%20North%20America%20online%20gambling,CAGR%20during%20the%20forecast%20period.
https://www.grandviewresearch.com/press-release/global-online-gambling-market
These revenues do not equal to deposited amounts, they equal net deposits (deposits minus withdrawals). The hold % of online casinos can be anywhere between 50% and 80% depending on how degenerate the market is in a given country but we can conservatively assume 60%.
This means that deposits volume in the US alone would reach about 40 billions, Europe about 50 Billions and worldwide 250 billions.
That should give Paysafe around 8-10 billions in transaction volume per year in the US alone , another 10-12 billions in Europe and conservatively, another 20 billions worldwide.
Valuation estimates:
Rough estimates are therefore revenues of about 1.5 billions per year for Paysafe group in a few years for gambling alone.
Paysafe claims 1.5 billions in revenues total projected for 2021, with only a third from gambling.
Even assuming no growth from the other verticals, this means that the total revenues of Paysafe should grow by 66% with gambling alone in the next 5 years or so.
Pysafe is investing a lot into expansion in other areas than gambling, notably video-gaming and remittance so assuming they don’t fuck it up completely, we are likely to see a 3 billions dollar in revenues in the next 5 years.
Using Paypal’s marketcap vs revenues, that would mean 50 billions in marketcap for Paysafe… Of course, Paypal is ingrained deeply in the whole of ecommerce and Paysafe is more specialized in gambling which might be shakier and herefore command a lower valuation.
The deal details are not fully known but it looks like a current valuation of 9 billions for Paysafe Group upon listing.
Based on my estimates, the marketcap could reach 50 billions in a few years time, one US market for gambling fully opens.
$BFT is trading at a 25% premium right now, therefore the estimate is 4x on investment over a few years.
Obviously you retards are not the most patient bunch but I believe the stock will jump when it morphs and so keep an eye out for the options.

I think it really needs to be said that for any new character, especially 5 stars, high levels of skepticism and scrutiny should be the default.

The negative reaction to Zhongli is thus, good. This is how it should be. But this goes for all banners, past and future.
If someone tries to convince you a new 5 star is underwhelming, and someone else tries to convince you they're the hypest, the best, OMG, so good, I'm so lucky to have them! What you should do, is consider the price tag. While this is effectively all just a casino, there is some monetary benchmarks we can use. You are guaranteed a 5 star after 90 pulls, though most people due to soft pity starting at 76 will probably get it sooner, like 80ish. So let's say for simplicity, it takes 80. That's 12800 gems. If you buy the 100 dollar gem pack for the first time, you are given the "bonus" of double gems, which comes to 12960. However, unless you already got a non-event 5 star on the event banner, you actually only have a 50% gamble to get the proper character. You'd need enough for pity twice to guarantee, but a subsequent purchase of 100 dollars yields only 8080 gems. What this means is, basically, anyone trying to sell you on a new 5 star, may as well be trying to sell you on an over $200 digital purchase for a single character (and even if you have the 100% event character pity primed and ready it's still a 100+ dollar which is still outrageous, let's be real). It might cost less, but, you shouldn't assume it will. This is a casino, you're gambling. What it takes to assure the content you want, is over 200 dollars.
If someone came up to you and tried to convince you to just splurge on a 200 dollar little...micro-DLC in a game, you should really meet them with the utmost skepticism.
It's also important to realize when someone says this character is kinda meh, and someone else says this character is GREAT, these are not equivalent statements in their weight. One is trying to get you to spend considerable money and/or resources, one is cautioning you to refrain or strongly think about before proceeding. If you listen to the one with a negative opinion, the consequence is that you won't go for the character for now, and...they aren't going anywhere any time soon, the banner is up for awhile, plenty of time to think and learn more. But, if you listen to the positive opinion, and you go for the character, you can't take that back. If you don't get them, or you do and feel underwhelmed, or disappointed, you just lost out, and there's no undoing that, there's no refunds in a casino.
So keep that in mind. And this imbalance is also very well known, I assure you, by Mihoyo, and any gacha dev. You should be suspicious of glowing praise of a new character, because who stands to gain from that? Who gains, if a new 5 star is the new hotness, everyone wants them, gotta have them? Mihoyo does. It directly correlates to them making a lot more money. So ask yourself, hey, why does this random person on the internet, want so badly for me to try and get a 200+ dollar character? Could they actually be...an imposter among us?! It seems pretty sus. The same is even more true for youtubers. It's no secret they can and do receive kickbacks from companies, and not all of them will necessarily be so easily disclosed through clumsy in-game mail on stream...
People trying to sell you on a 5 star character, may have an ulterior agenda, one that does not have your interests in mind at all. Even if that agenda is simply to be contrarian or zealously defend a lower tier "underdog" character, as some are simply predisposed towards doing out of bias.
So, please be careful, and skeptical, for now and in the future. They are very valuable traits to have, for all things in life.

SportsBetting is a one-stop-shop for nearly every popular type of gambling – legal sports betting, casino gaming, horse racing betting, and poker. Headquartered in Panama, the site initially launched in 1999 but was acquired by BetOnline in 2012. Since the acquisition, SportsBetting has become one of the top legal betting sites for players from the United States. It is one of the few legal betting sites that remained in the US market after Congress passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act (UIGEA) of 2006. The federal law has no impact on the legality of online sports betting, but is essentially a banking restriction on unregulated payment processors. SportsBetting is well aware of this law and they have created ways to make sure that bettors can still safely and efficiently receive their winnings. SportsBetting has remained committed to U.S. players and is today one of the best betting sites that accept residents of all 50 states.

Sportbetting.ag Sportsbook:

[TapJoy/etc] Avoid Slots of Vegas!!

I don't believe that this offer is doable at all without paying at least a few dollars. The time limit is 20 days and it says to get to level 40. Seems easy enough, right? 40 isn't that big of a level compared to the level 70/100/200 we're used to seeing.
Well, not really. In fact, I'd argue it's much worse than Huuuge or Billionaire casino, because they give you 2x coupons for exp.
Despite me playing every single day, whilst heavily babysitting the app, and even investing $15 to finish the offer, I struggle to even level up once a day. Jackpots are a help but ones that actually get you anywhere or are 'big wins' are so far and few in-between. I've only won one major jackpot through one of the bonus games, (I was around 100m-200m coins) and while it helped, it did not get me much closer to my goal. Betting the minimum spin still drains my coins. I claim the FB coins and the daily login coins every day.
It's hard to maintain your chips and levelling up is even worse (0.03% at a 440k bet, which is hard to maintain since chips drain fast, even if you're playing at less than 1% of your total balance). The bonus game is VERY inconsistent. At first I assumed it'd be triggered when the coin bowl at the top filled, but no. Sometimes it'll require another 50+ spins for it to trigger, and if you change your bet, you will have a much smaller earn even if you were betting 2m+ per spin.
I still have not finished the app after 10 days of consistent and daily playing. I'm at level 35 finally, but I'm not even sure if I'll be able to pull through without another purchase (which I really don't want to do). Overall, you are way better of going for something like Pop Slots (which is super do-able) or Huuuge Casino. End of rant.

Just some thoughts of the Cayo Perico heist from a casual newcomer.

So far I was only able to do 3 heist in gta online. The Fleeca Job, The Diamond Casino, and finally the Cayo Perico.
Fleeca Job was actually pretty neat. The difficulty matched the payout and it was a great introduction to heists. I didn't follow it up with Prison Break though since finding a non troll for the fleeca job was hard enough, imagine having to work with 3 more people.
Diamond Casino was amazing even though I was just carried by a veteran player. I might try that out again on my own but finding someone for the finale will be a little tough. I really felt like I was a heister and it was a better experience of heisting than payday 2. At least, imo. (Payday 2 felt boring and tedious) and the payout was just as good.
And finally, the Cayo Perico. At first I was hesitant to pay the 2 million dollar paywall since I was already struggling getting money with my bunker but I did it anyway since It's new and I want to relate to the subreddit and the maymays. Oh and it's because it's a heist that can be done purely solo which is a godsend. Still, knowing that the initial payout is only a million plus bonuses I couldn't shake the feeling that I wasted that 2 million.
Especially since the prep missions got a little tedious. Not the mission itself but rather getting there from the submarine which took me like 30 minutes since I only had a motorcycle and no aircraft. I still enjoyed it though. A good challenge despite not really getting anything from it aside from reaching the finale.
The finale to me is just the most frustrating and hardest part I've ever played in gta online.
At first it was smooth sailing since I was doing it stealthily, then one misplaced shot just alerted the whole island. It isn't like other stealth games where you can just lay low and hide from enemies so it won't go on alert oh no, instead the enemies would just keep on spawning near me and I had to deal with them or ignore them and go straight to the compound.
Keep in mind, I was only rep 50. I literally die in 4 shots. I also forgot to buy snacks because I'm an idiot. Nevertheless I reached the compound. Almost broke my stuff because of raging since I kept on dying. Still managed to get the files after being shot a million times which just made me almost lose all the secondary target money.
The escape was a pain as well. Just swarms of guards non stop harassing me and the chopper being pain but I soon realized I can just shoot it. It made me realize just how much easier it could've been if I was at max health.
In the end I finished the heist and got 1.4 million dollars. Which didn't feel worth it lol. I might actually start to look up guides when I decide to do it again but for now I'm just tired man. I spent my earnings to upgrade my bunker so I can at least earn something while doing the prep missions.
TL;DR Fun heist, hard as balls for a low rep casual newcomer shockingly, I just hope to get back the 2 million I spent and more.

My first ever agent concept that is a robot with superpowers(idk shit about balance so it could be OP)

class sentinel
look:casino dealer but robot
name and origins:M0N3V is a robot that was originally built by kingdom corporation in the line of the SeRv robots who would take care of different places like restaurants or shops when workers where absent but as he was taking care of business in the 12th may of 2051 the closest radianite facility exploded and him a robot was affected by it making him have a consciousness and superpowers and he became the first robot radiant.
abilities
free one:coin flip
you pick one of two abilties or randomize to get one
ability 1:is a basic 25 to 35 health heal depending if he is under 50 health or above for everyone even across the map.
ability 2:a little bit more creds on kills+ 200 extra, plants 300 extra, defuses also 300,gives bonus on fast doubles, triples, quadruple and penta kills(2 seconds delay between kills to get the bonus and it last 5 seconds or one kill that is slow like x2 or x4 you get it.
200 for both usage (idk economy balance) creds ability is named bluff with two max usage:where you throws out decoy that will shoot fake bullets or produce fake spike plant and defuse noises depending on where you throw it like very close to a bomb site it will do a fake plant noise and near or at mid will look for enemies,if it gets shot before it's timer of 8 seconds runs out the killer is revealed. on the map
400 for both tries creds abilty is called blackjack:you got two cards that you can throw that deal 25 dmg each, travels slightly slower than the knifes like 600 milliseconds slower and each hits are 300 creds for you and a heal from the closest teammate of 25.
Ultimate abillity(only usable in buy phase):the scammer
the scammer steals 1000 dollars from each enemy and gives it to the friendlies and if someone buys and this somehow lowers them to 999 creds before you click on X well all the remaning money of this guy will belong to the team additioned to a couple bits of the price with what they bought

Unique Relapse - Need Support/Feedback

Hello,
I am a gambling addict. I recognized my addiction 10 years ago but didn’t acknowledge it and try to get better until 5 years ago.
After struggling to stay gamble free for 2 years, I finally was able to stop completely with support of family and friends around me. I opened up to them and in return was blessed with love and empathy.
Last week I was 15 days away from 3 years straight gamble free. For business I had to travel to a different state, and there was a casino open near my hotel that my company put me in. I wanted to go in just to see how it felt and prove I was disconnected. This was a mistake.
I sat at a slot and immediately couldn’t help myself. I convinced myself that I needed to play to prove that it wouldn’t feel the same. I know that from an outside perspective this rationalization sounds utterly foolish, but in the moment I tricked my mind to where it made sense.
I put in a $100 bill and hit the max bet for a $20 spin. Nothing. Hit it again, and the feature triggers and goes to the bonus wheel.
The wheel stops. The machine screams and the lights go haywire. I hear people around me clapping. I hit the Mega Jackpot for $163,000.
Now, I was smart enough to take the net winnings after tax and get out of there as fast as I could. Since then I have paid off every dollar of debt I had and I still have a ton of money leftover just sitting in my checking account. My credit report will now show $0 debt. Credit cards and student loans gone.
I’m still in shock. While it’s incredible to be debt free and have some real cash on hand, I feel like I didn’t deserve this and I should’ve been punished, not rewarded. I haven’t gambled since and I am currently 6 days clean after the relapse.
My grandpa, who is super supportive, told me to take it as a blessing from God. He said that I should use it as motivation to “go out a winner” and if I ever feel like gambling again to just remember I’ll never win more than I did this time.
Guys, I’m conflicted emotionally and mentally. I’m afraid of myself and how easily I relapsed after almost 3 years. I’m disappointed and afraid. I keep thinking about what could’ve happened if I didn’t get ridiculously lucky and win the jackpot and if I just kept losing. I would’ve probably played until I lost it all, as I used to until 3 years ago.
I used to say, “one day I’ll hit the jackpot and all my problems will be solved.” What sucks is I had just come to terms with how sick and delusional that sounded when I’d say it. The issue is, it actually happened now, and I’m in the best financial place I’ve ever been. I should feel on top of the world.
I know not to go back. I need to hear from others though. I need advice to help me stay strong and to help me forgive myself. Please.

Online Poker Sites Offer Tournaments And Create New Online Professionals

Poker online is essentially the online version of poker, the all time favorite card game. Poker is a complex game requiring precise strategy to emerge victorious from the competition. Online poker is the most popular and widely played game on the Internet. It has largely contributed to a large increase in the total number of poker online players around the world. To be a successful poker player, one must possess some basic skills and knowledge. Some of these important skills are as follows: dedication to poker online, the ability to bluff when needed, discipline and the willingness to learn. There are a wide variety of online poker sites offering different variations of poker games. These sites have attracted a lot of new players. Every new player starts with a small bankroll. There are two kinds of poker games available on the Internet: live and free-play. Live poker games are played in public Internet poker rooms. They are comparable to real poker games. In free-play poker games, there is no financial risk. The winner of a game does not pay the pot or take away any cards. Therefore, these players are less prone to emotional meltdowns and short tempered. The major tournaments in poker games are generally played in real time over the Internet, either on dedicated poker websites or on Internet casino gaming platforms. Millions of dollars are wagered in these tournaments. In recent years, there has been a trend towards internet-based poker tournaments rather than traditional LAN (local Area Network) based tournaments. In a LAN poker game, players usually gather in a specific room or hall, where they play for two hours or even more. Online tournaments require players to play only within the stipulated time frame. The top players earn cash prizes and prestige within the poker industry.Poker players can take part in tournaments on dedicated online poker rooms by registering with them. Then, they need to create a profile that includes their name, address, age, e-mail address, and in some cases, their location. Players are allowed to place bids on a specific tournament, depending on their cash limit. It is important to have realistic expectations about how much money one can win. For example, it is not realistic to expect to become a world poker champion in a month's time.In order to play in a tournament game, new players need to register at the poker sites and create a profile. Once the player gains a certain amount of experience points, he or she may be eligible for special prizes. These include sign up bonuses, free tournament entries, free coaching, and the like. It is also not uncommon for some online poker sites to allow players to use rake systems, which are basically game strategies that help the players winning more often. As a new player who plays using these strategies, it is important to follow the rules and regulations of the poker room, as well as the rules of the tournament he or she is playing in.

GreenSpin Casino Review

GreenSpin Casino debuted in 2020, but don’t let that fool you. The casino is operated by Direx N.V., one of the most established casino operators on the net. A Curacao licensed casino, GreenSpin excels at offering games in a variety of languages, and with multiple software providers all dished out titles to players at the casino. The casino is also mobile-friendly and is notable for its big-money giveaways and surplus of free spin-based promotions.
Live dealer casino gaming is also made possible at GreenSpin Casino. The internet betting site offers around the clock support and assistance and is powered by SoftSwiss. Moreover, they accept a variety of payment methods, ensuring that many players – wherever they happen to reside – have access to the fledgeling but impressive online casino.

GreenSpin Casino Bonuses and Promotions

All new players at GreenSpin are invited to claim a cash plus spins-based welcome bonus when they sign up and register at GreenSpin Casino. A special high roller welcome bonus is available for those players who wish to compete in the big leagues at the site. However, this online casino has a few other promos and bonuses which could tickle your fancy. As its name suggests, there are free spins in abundance to be claimed when you play with GreenSpin Casino.
This is an online casino which is notable for offering free spins aplenty. One of the ways in which the casino does this is via a lottery-style promo. Every day, fifty players are drawn at random to receive a share of 3,000 free spins. Those slot spins are valid on a variety of games at the online casino.
Slot Battles are popular promotions at GreenSpin Casino. All players are eligible to vote for their Game of the Week, and then pocket 10 no deposit free spins on that game every Thursday. On top of that, there is Green Monday, which offers up to $300 in bonus cash, Green Friday deals which promise 100% matches and 100 free spins on deposits, and there is a loyalty club. The latter can see players accumulate points when betting, which they can exchange for real money. There is also a higher VIP status for players in this club, and that offers even bigger and better perks.

GreenSpin Casino Games

Ten very different software providers have come together to kit out GreenSpin Casino with games. These include NetEnt, Amatic Industries, BGaming, Booming Games, Booongo, Endorphina, Evolution Gaming, iSoftBet, Playson and Yggdrasil Gaming. Together they form a library of well over 500 games for you to try your hand at.
From the gaming library, you can rapidly navigate between slots, table games, live dealer casino games, jackpot games, and other titles. Drops and Wins games are also supported, as are cryptocurrency-friendly slot machines. You can also opt to navigate GreenSpin Casino’s gaming portfolio by searching for titles from specific providers, by looking at the latest releases, and other filters.
Despite its name, GreenSpin Casino does offer more than just online slots. The online casino’s table game collection includes a variety of Baccarat, Blackjack, Caribbean Poker, Hold’em Poker, Hi-Lo, Let It Ride, Oasis Poker, Trey Poker and Roulette games. Video poker games are also found in this genre. Players are also at liberty to play many of these games in live dealer format, with NetEnt and Evolution Gaming providing the lion’s share of these games. They can include exciting variants such as Immersive Roulette and Lightning Baccarat, amongst others.
Online slots represent the most numerous of the game collections at GreenSpin Casino. A few of the titles you may wish to have a look at include Phantom of the Opera, The Invisible Man, and Dracula, Valley of the Gods, Vikings Go Berzerk, and Roo Riches. Majestic: MegaWays is another slot which might tweak your interest.
If winning big money jackpots is something which appeals to you, GreenSpin Casino has you covered. The online casino provides top progressive games such as Rango Jackpot, Fortune Diamond, Hobushi, Jackpot Raiders, Holmes and the Stolen Stones, and Basic Instinct, as well as Platoon: Wild Progressive, and Dr Fortuno for you to get to grips with.

Banking

GreenSpin Casino offers no shortage of currencies and banking options for players. US dollars, euros, Australian, New Zealand and Canadian dollars, Russian roubles, Polish zloty, Japanese yen and Norwegian kroner represent the FIAT currencies. GreenSpin also permits deposit and withdrawals using cryptocurrencies which include Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Tether (USDT).
VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, Skrill and Neteller represent the most popular payment methods at the casino. However, Paysafecard, EcoPayz, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, Qiwi, Rapid Transfer, iDebit and a handful of other options are also available. Deposits are instantaneous and must be worth at least €5. Deposit caps are typically set to €6,000.
When withdrawing from GreenSpin Casino, you will be faced with minimum and maximum limits of €10 and €1,000 per transaction, respectively. That might sound harsh, but the monthly withdrawal limits are capped at €30,000 per month, which is a lot more reasonable. Most payment methods offer instant withdrawal times, although delays of 3 to 5 days are common with bank, credit and debit card cashouts.

Customer Support

The Customer Care page will offer you access to an FAQ (frequently asked questions) guide which covers more than just the basics of gameplay at GreenSpin Casino. Should you not find what you are looking for in that help guide, you can always opt to use the contact page to obtain further, in-depth assistance. This is provided by e-form, e-mail ([email protected]) and live chat (although not around the clock).

Verdict

GreenSpin Casino is a relatively new site, but we would hardly claim that it is inexperienced. It has a renowned operator, promotes responsible gaming, is licensed and features software from some of the biggest names in the business today. Ultimately, GreenSpin Casino is hoping to make its mark on the online casino world, and with its service being what it is, they are likely to do just that.

Stars Slots casino playing guide

It took me 7 days primarily low betting the whole time to reach level 100. (9 to reach level 110.) Whenever I bet higher than 350-450K, usually, my coins just plummeted within minutes. I think anyone who reached level 100 within 1-3 days bet higher and lucked out tremendously.
Slow and steady guide:
  1. Join a club. The higher AND more active the better. Absolute highest is Master 1. From what I've seen, Master I, II and III required players to be a minimum level (like 100+) to join and/or a request to join (mine was never accepted). Unlike similar casino games, Stars Slots won't let you do an advanced search. You can search for a specific club if you know any names, however. So you are left with the option to join the first club on the list that currently has the most collective coins made and which allows members of your current level to join. Either that or create a club (don't recommend). So go ahead and join that first one, but change later based on step #3’s information. Also, the higher the club the bigger percentage of extra free coins you get from different sources within the game. So it goes Master I, II, III, World Class I, II, III, Expert I, II, III, and last is Pro I. Since I couldn't join Master clubs I did best in World II and World I.
  2. Collect coins. The FB group, free coins from https://www.peoplesgamezgiftexchange.com/stars-slots-free-chips/gifts or similar website, starting with the most recent and going back as far as you can. Within the game: Once daily spin the wheel; Star Bonus every 60 minutes from far bottom left side of home screen; Huuuge Heist (unlock at level 35) every 15 hours (beside Star Bonus) (the 15 hours increase the higher a level you are at for longer wait)... make sure you've gathered bucks (can see next to dollar image under coin image at top left) (amount of bucks needed increase the higher a level you are at) in case you get an empty box and want to keep what you've won so far with boxes. Tip: An empty box for one round, for example the first one, can also be the empty one in the very next round; it's random each round. I was terrible at this game and should've clicked "give up" sooner than keep gambling; Lottery (ticket to play) every 6 hours (some say value goes up at level 70, so to save them. User batmanbnb below states to save bronze tickets until level 70. It’s up to you whether to save tickets or not.); click on Shop (top middle in green) and on the top right you can click and collect free coins every 8 hours; at the bottom of the Shop screen OR to the right of the Shop image on the home screen you click and watch a video to collect coins, until you can no longer watch, every 8 hours. Also collect coins from club members every time they hit a jackpot and 1 million coins just for first time joining any club through Stars League (middle bottom of home screen).
  3. When you join a club click on a team member's profile and connect and you'll get an option to connect/friend every member in the club. I did this and connected to as many people during games I played until I reached my limit. I figured people in the clubs I joined, even lower level clubs, may leave and join higher ones like I did. Probably would be a good idea to go to a tier II game (the middle option for higher betting than Beginner called High Limit once you've unlocked it) and connect to players currently playing it since they have high enough coins to play that. You don't have to play yourself if you don't want to: just drop in, connect, and leave. Then, at the bottom right of the home screen click on Social and you'll see every friend you have. What I did was click on those who had the highest coins at the time and see what club they were a part of: If the club was World II or higher I joined it. Question: What if you want to do better than this club you found (either through this method or the Join Club list) either because its level is too low or not active enough players? Click on Stars League (middle bottom of home screen) then click on Seasons (to the right of Members). This shows you where your club is currently placed. If you see higher placed clubs with available space AND you can join AND it's World Class II or higher then join it. Remember your old club’s name if you ever want to go back, just in case. If you attempt to join a club and you can't get in (maybe you're not at high enough a level) you are also kicked out of your current club for attempting to leave (for some reason), leaving you club-less. My favorite clubs were Polacy2019 (currently World Class I), pour tous (World Class I), and A.Y.M.K.N. TEAM (World Class I).
  4. Betting: The general rule of thumb I found was to bet when you have a minimum of 10-20 million, which I agree with. But you can wait, collecting as many coins as you can, to start betting when you have more. The tip I read (and stuck with) was to follow the 1% bet rule: bet 1% of your current chips or even lower (like half of that).
  5. Games: Everyone has a different favorite game. Some games are passive (can do Hold for Autospin and not babysit the game) while others you need to be engaged with*. Passive games: God of Sky, Steam City, Neptune's Mistress. *Note: User DilutedDante below stated all games are passive; for the games I saw that wanted my input (choose numbered cards for spin the wheel, etc.) I didn't wait long enough to see if the game would perform the action for me. Recommended games from other users here on Reddit: Wheel of Wins, God of Sky (one of my favorites), Speedy 777 Spins, Retro 81 (one of my favorites), Fortunes Jackpots (never played), and Jackpot Mania (never played). Of course, more games are unlocked the higher the level you reach. I recommend that if you are under 30 million to play God of Sky or Speedy 777 (which didn’t work too well for me, but others like it when trying to gain coins). Remember to do minimum betting or 1% or lower betting. Occasionally I would switch games and play Retro 81 or Wheel of Wins. Do this until you reach level 38 and unlocked Steam City and level 40 to unlock Neptune’s Mistress. I almost exclusively played these two, passively, to reach level 100. My method was betting 100K or 125K (if I had a minimum of 40-50 million). I didn’t feel secure enough to bet 250K or higher until I had a minimum of 100 million because otherwise I would run out of coins too quickly. I rarely bet higher than 500K. I think it took 2 hours or so, minimum betting, to level up each time. So that’s why it took me a week to do this and reach level 100. I found Steam City to be the best game overall as another user did. Sometimes, even at lowest betting and even with 100+ million coins and leaving it to play on its own, I would lose all coins. But that’s OK - just collect coins again and play again. It’s all luck. Another time I started with 15 million and it jumped to 125 or so million in a short amount of time with 100K betting playing Neptune’s Mistress.
  6. I don’t recommend Daisy’s Challenges (far bottom right of main screen). The games to be played either rarely had wins for me or the minimum bet required to unlock a box was higher than I was comfortable doing. See user DilutedDante's comment below for benefit of doing Daisy's Challenges.
If anyone has any other tips or corrections on what I've said (I've read other users got into Master clubs, but they all seemed to be for very high level players?) please share! This is just my conservative and mostly passive playing guide based on how the experience was for me. Some users do recommend Daisy's Challenges or betting higher playing the 2nd tiemiddle High Limit slot machine and had better luck with those than I did.
I gathered many other tips from various users from the Swagbucks Reddit thread not mentioned here. If anyone wants me to include some of them I can.
See below for user Kpheark1's additional tips.

How to Find Free Poker Money at Ethroll Casino

Ethroll Casino is definitely one of those new member of the top list of online casino names. They are currently ranked at number six in the top twenty online casino sites. The reason that they have been chosen as one of the best online casino names is due to their unique betting system which they call the Crypto Casino. Their system uses a hybrid of statistical and mathematical calculations to ensure a high amount of uncertainty when placing your bets. This is what makes the difference between losing hundreds of dollars and making back thousands in just a few minutes.
The only way you can understand how much uncertainty is involved with the betting system used by ethroll casino is when you read their official web page. On the site they tell you everything that you ever needed to know. From there, you can find out all that you want to about this revolutionary game and how they're planning on taking it to even the next level. You also have access to some great online casino offers. For example, you can get an exclusive promo code for a deposit of ten dollars or more. This promo code can give you a percentage of your deposit, that you can keep, should you decide to gamble with your winnings from the ethroll casino.
Like many other online casinos, ethroll casino also offers a variety of different games including slots, video poker, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and much more. However, one of their specialties is the blackjack game. Their unique betting system, called the Crypto System, allows you to play games like blackjack, no deposit baccarat, and even live tournaments for free. They are dedicated to making the gaming experience fun and exciting while still ensuring that players do not lose too much money. This is important to many people who have spent years playing the same games over again in different casinos across the country.
If you're looking to sign up and deposit your name and credit card information, all that you need is a quick internet search to find out how to do so. Once you're ready to get started, all that you need to do is to choose what kind of casino account you would like. This depends upon whether you're interested in playing the slots or the roulette table. If you're going for the slots, then you will be restricted to playing a maximum of five games at any one time. If you'd like to try the roulette table, then you can play up to four games.
As you can see, playing an online casino for free is pretty simple and easy. The one thing that you need to remember is that you should always read the rules and regulations of any website before you make a deposit. Many times you will find that there are some websites offering bonuses and promotions that are only valid for a limited period of time. In order to take advantage of these, you may have to wait a while for your bonus to kick in. However, it is definitely worth it considering how much money you can win on the following spins of a wheel.
What's more, if you want to play a game for free, then it is possible to do so without having to deposit anything. Free roll games are offered by many online casinos as a promotional feature for new players. By signing up for their newsletters, you can be notified when new bonuses are available. All you have to do then is log into your account and start playing for real money!

Playing at Casino

The developers behind the ethroll casino are well aware of the potential problems that can arise from a lack of security for online casinos. There have been numerous stories of people being scammed by poorly designed gambling sites, and it seems that scam artists will be looking to exploit any weakness in the design principles of these gambling rooms. By offering an all-inclusive gaming solution, the thrill casino aims to avoid the pitfalls that can be found with many different types of gambling sites. In particular, this is one of the few casinos that offer players real cash in addition to their chips, and this is a clear indicator that the gaming company cares more about the safety of its customers than any other aspect of their business. If you are considering playing at an ethroll casino, here are some important facts that you should be aware of.

The website makes it possible for players to play on the website with real cash, which means that you don't have to rely on using credit card processing features to transfer money from your bank account. All transactions are handled entirely through the website, meaning that you can play top casino games with no risk to yourself or your funds. In addition to this, the thrill casino also offers a free bonus of one hundred dollars in bonus credit to users who deposit at least ten dollars at the site. The free bonus will be credited to your account in a short space of time and you will then be able to enjoy the game and take advantage of the bonuses and free bonuses offered.
The free bonus is one of the key selling points of this site, and they are happy to give you this in return for your loyalty to the site. Many people find it difficult to stick with only one online casino game, but if you are lucky enough to be a customer of ethroll you won't have to worry about that because they offer a free bonus whenever you sign up for their service. The bonus can be used for betting on live casino games or for purchasing any of the games on offer at the site. You can even withdraw your winnings from the site without having to worry about having too much money in your pocket at the same time.
The Ethop casino does not limit the number of players that can sign up for its services, so you can play for fun with a big group of friends. The site also offers a number of features that ensure that players never get stuck for words while they play. It has an integrated chat system that offers a number of features including voice communication, video chat and text chat to name just a few of them. All of these features make the gaming experience a lot more exciting, and many players find that they do not want to leave the site once they have spent some time in the games.
