Sites that might help you researching

This is based on my personal experience. I usually play for corners and cards and 0.5 halftime.
Transfermarkt
Always look for this site to see detailed stats for certain player or team when you need detailed information. Every average, injury and suspension you need are here but the UX might be too complicated for some people. Best site so far to use when want to see player stats.
Footystats
Have a good graph with detailed information to see when teams scoring goal in the past match. Almost every team common stats you'll need are here, detailed and less complicated than Transfermarkt. Member can unlock stats like team corner and cards, but its not really worth it tho. No information about player or player stats but the database is pretty vast, from european top and lower leagues.
Windrawwin
WDW is always the first site i look up to if i want to bet on europe top 5 league and for their simplicity. Stats included are the same stats you'll find in google sports but more UX friendly. No player stats but the commons stats are here so. Also have average stats for BTTS, O/U 2.5, Corner, O/U 0.5 and O/U 1.5 in 1H.
Sofascore
Not so much information or stats here for prematch but their Team Streaks and H2H Streak are kinda helpful to give you some insight. The pros of SS is they have really good stats for inplay betting. You can predict how team fare in match by analyze it from stats and their momentum graph.
I also read some pre-match news from Sportsmole to give some insight about team form or new manager. So best of luck and apologize for my grammar and english, tried my best here lol.

The Average Team vs You - Predicted GW1 Results

With GW1 fast approaching and teams nearing completion, how will they potentially score this week?
Pinning it down with certainty isn't possible, however taking a look at the projected scores for each game, we can get an indication of where the points may come from. We can then extend this a bit more and make a comparison to the (potential) highest owned team within the allowable budget.
So what does the TSB% team look like? With some slight tweaks to fit the budget, we can pull together a highly owned team from the site as:
Pickford 22%
Trippier 27% - Maguire 24% - Daniels 18%
Salah 53% (!) - KdB 28% - Richarlison 17% - Kante 19%
Aguero 27% - Firmino 36% - Zaha 31%
Using the projections of three sites, we get the following predicted results in GW1:
Projection 1 Projection 2 Projection 3 Hybrid
UTD 2 - 1 LEI UTD 2 - 1 LEI UTD 1 - 0 LEI UTD 2 - 1 LEI
NEW 1 - 1 TOT NEW 1 - 1 TOT NEW 0 - 2 TOT NEW 1 - 1 TOT
WAT 0 - 1 BRI WAT 2 - 1 BRI WAT 1- 1 BRI WAT 1- 1 BRI
BOU 2 - 1 CAR BOU 1 - 0 CAR BOU 0 - 2 CAR BOU 1 - 1 CAR
FUL 2 - 2 CRY FUL 2 - 1 CRY FUL 0 - 2 CRY FUL 1 - 2 CRY
HUD 1 - 2 CHE HUD 0 - 1 CHE HUD 0 - 1 CHE HUD 0 - 1 CHE
WOL 3 -2 EVE WOL 0 - 0 EVE WOL 1 - 1 EVE WOL 1 - 1 EVE
SOT 1 - 0 BUR SOT 1 - 0 BUR SOT 1 - 0 BUR SOT 1 - 0 BUR
LIV 3 - 0 WHM LIV 2 - 0 WHM LIV 2 - 0 WHM LIV 2 - 0 WHM
ARS 1 - 2 MCI ARS 1 - 2 MCI ARS 1 - 1 MCI ARS 1 - 2 MCI
Notable points being around WOL - EVE with polarising expectations.
Therefore, assuming each of the players play, an estimate of the TSB% team's points based on these results:
Pickford (1)
Trippier (2) - Maguire (2) - Daniels (2)
Salah (8) - KdB (5) - Richarlison (5) - Kante (2)
Aguero (8) - Firmino (8) - Zaha (6)
This kicks out a reasonable score of 49 points.
Again, this is an average of expected events so there will always be variations (otherwise, why would we play the game? ;) ).
Anyway, hopefully this gives some food for thought, an idea of expected goals during GW1 and how our teams fit into the GW's results. Sometimes we get so close to the detail, it's nice to take a different viewpoint!
Good luck and thanks for reading.
Expected goals from whoscored, betegy and windrawwin.

Website for goals

Is there a website that highlights teams that are good for goals? For example, I want to be able to sort by teams that have conceded the most goals in the last 5 games.

Mathematical Prediction Sites

Hi all,
I want to do some testing on some of the sites that do football (mathematical) predictions, such as:
https://www.forebet.com http://www.windrawwin.com/predictions/today/ http://www.statarea.com/predictions http://www.predictz.com/predictions/ http://www.zulubet.com/
Am I missing out on some of the better ones here before I start testing?
I came across this while researching similar sites, but I don't know them so maybe one of you could recommend a couple

Desperate for help

Hey everyone,
Been a long time lurker and tend to tail a few picks every now and then. I'm finally posting because I feel I've hit a wall when it comes to betting strategies. I feel like I've literally tried everything.
I've tried just straight accas, fh goal strategies, using total corner for inplays, forebet, windrawwin, whole host of tipping sites.
I've tried following tips on here, tipsters on Twitter, tipster apps on playstore.
I've set up betting trackers only to ditch it after 1 or 2 months as I kill my bankroll. I recently started tracking my bets again in a final attempt to do things right and have another shocking night which killed my bankroll.
I'm just at a complete loss on where to go next. I enjoy betting but fed up of depositing money every week.
Please help if you have time.

(Spoilers Published) Casino Westerosi

The night is dark and full of terrors, luckily for you, this evening you find yourself in the Casino Westerosi. After the standard fare of tournament style cyvasse, roulette, and betting on fighting pit results directly flown in from Slaver's Bay, you grow bored and wander to the back of the casino. There you find a fat man with grease running down his chin and into his beard. He has a sadistic smile on his face as he hands you a card, which reads: *if unfamiliar with odds, read this first: (http://www.windrawwin.com/betting-basics/odds-explained/)
Lines of Ice and Fire
Concerning Targaryen Lineage The following will be proven true by the conclusion of the ASOIAF series:
Aegon "Young Griff" Targaryen's biological father is Rhaegar Targaryen - 2/1
Tyrion Lannister's biological father is the Mad King Aerys - 6/1
Cersei and Jamie Lannister's biological father is the Mad King Aerys - 8/1
None of the above three scenarios will be proven true - 2/1
Concerning the Head of Ser Robert Strong The following will be proven true by the conclusion of the ASOIAF series:
Ser Robert Strong wears the head of Ser Gregor Clegane - 3/1
Ser Robert Strong wears the head of a deceased Westerosi noble - 5/1
Ser Robert Strong wears a head fit by neither of the two previous constraints - 6/1
Ser Robert Strong wears no head - 1/1
Concerning a Stark in Winterfell At the conclusion of the ASOIAF series, the following will rule as the Stark in Winterfell, whether it be as King in the North or Lord Paramount:
Rickon Stark - 3/2
Jon Snow - 3/1
Sansa Stark - 4/1
No Stark will rule in Winterfell - 4/1
Bran Stark - 24/1
Arya Stark - 30/1
Benjen Stark - 50/1
A yet unmentioned Stark - 70/1
Concerning the Landing of Daenerys Targaryen Danerys Targaryan will first set foot on the following mainland Westerosi region (Dragonstone is entirely disregarded):
Dorne - 2/1
The Vale of Arryn - 2/1
The North (including north of the Wall) - 4/1
The Stormlands - 6/1
The Crownlands (Dragonstone is entirely disregarded) - 6/1
Other Westerosi Region - 8/1
Danenerys Never Lands in Westeros - 12/1
You feel 20 gold dragons jingling in your pocket, where do you send them to breed? (So, in a sense, where did I put the odds of something happening far lower then you think they should be?)

Project: Averaging correct score predictions for Premier League.

12th of April edit

Alright, this was fun though it didn't go too well. I am hoping to collaborate with redditors to develop some formulas to calculate predictions with higher accuracy. I am already in touch with people regarding this, and I am working on a spreadsheet myself. If you think you can contribute in any way, please PM me.
Anyway, I will be back next week. Meanwhile I'm crossing my fingers for the Liverpool game tomorrow. Thanks for the support so far!
Hello,
This is my first suggestion post ever. Please be nice.
As you all know, correct scores have tremendous odds for a reason. I still enjoy placing tiny bets on big correct score accumulators. Odds-wise it's kind of like playing the lottery, I guess. I have been making my own guesses with a little guidance from WinDrawWin.
I recently discovered Predictz and SoccerVista as well and decided it'd be better to include these in my calculations as well.

The system

I check the score predictions on weekend PL matches on the three sites mentioned above, and I calculate the average home and away score for each match. I will then place a tiny amount on an accummulator with as many bets as I'm allowed to include, as well as X doubles or singles (I haven't decided on a permanent system for this so it will vary for now).
DISCLAIMER: I admittedly haven't won anything betting this way yet, but that's mostly because I've been doing accumulators of 6+ games, which I realize now isn't the brightest idea. I will however keep doing one single accumulator serving as my weekly lottery ticket.
The idea is that winning even once will cover my losses by far and then some (and then some more). Without further ado:

This weekend

Fixture Prediction Unibet Odds Actual result
Swansea - Everton 1-0 7.50 1-1 (lost)
Southhampton - Hull 2-0 6.00 2-0 (won)
Sunderland - Crystal Palace 0-2 12.50 1-4 (lost)
Tottenham - Aston Villa 2-0 7.50 0-1 (lost)
West Brom - Leceister 1-0 7.50 2-3 (lost)
West Ham - Stoke 0-1 6.75 1-1 (lost)
Burnley - Arsenal 0-2 7.50 0-1 (lost)
QPR - Chelsea 0-3 9.00 0-1 (lost)
Man Utd - Man City 2-1 9.50 4-2 (lost)
Liverpool - Newcastle 3-0 9.50 2-0 (lost)

Aggregate odds: 173475659

Yeah, that's way above what Unibet allows. So, for my accumulator I excluded Sunderland - Crystal Palace and Man Utd - Man City. I chose these because I personally doubt the predictions and they were among the highest odds. Here you may wonder why I still go with these bets if I doubt the predictions. This is because I want to try out this system and see where it leads me.

My bets

Please know that I am aware of the astronomically low chances of winning. I do this for fun and the aforementioned, astronomically low chances of winning. I play for spare money and stick to small bets for this system. If I lose 99% of the time and struck an accumulator with last 1% I will still make a huge profit. In that is where I find the excitement.
If it turns out that people choose to join in on this, I might do it weekly. We'll see. Otherwise, it's a very simple system so you can easily do it yourself.
Good luck, everyone!
EDIT: Added an "actual result" column. Will update this as matches are played.
EDIT2 : Okay, one correct bet so far. Just need one more to cover my stake.

Trying to find a website I used last night to compare Over/Under x goals, corners, BTTS before matches?

Hi guys, was looking through soccer betting yesterday for my accumulator, seen a website that someone recommended and it would show you the matches that are upcoming and would have links to tables that would show the previous times BTTS, UndeOver 2.5, Corners came in over the last season.
Actually helped me a lot last night and I certainly made up for what I lost, however as I was in work I forgot to save it and would like to use it again if anyone has the link to it.

How to properly use the decompose() method in Beautiful Soup 4?

Hi all! I'm trying to delete a part of what I am parsing with my web scraper.
What I specifically want to remove is the (contents of) "span" tags withis in the "a" tags of the class "blklnk", however I get an error that says " AttributeError: 'ResultSet' object has no attribute 'span' " when I try to write it like they show it in the Beautiful Soup official documentation.
I would be ever so grateful for any help :)
My code:
from urllib.request import urlopen from bs4 import BeautifulSoup windrawwin = urlopen("http://www.windrawwin.com/statistics/over-under-25-goals/england-championship/") bsObj = BeautifulSoup(windrawwin.read(), "lxml") def getTeams(): i_want_to_remove=bsObj.findAll("span",{"class":"tah12"}) for x in bsObj.findAll("a",{"class":"blklnk"}): i_want_to_remove.decompose() print(x.text) print ("\n") getTeams()

MASTERING THE ART OF PROFIT MAKING FROM WINDRAWWIN When people generally talk of soccer betting, the most common bet that comes to the mind is the windrawwin predictions. Generally displayed in the form of ‘1X2’ on the betting boards present on bookmakers website, this popular wager has spawned several twists like the draw-no-bet or the double chance bet. Because WinDrawWin.com has been so successful in building a strong brand over the past 15+ years it has unfortunately meant that many smaller and sometimes untrustworthy tipsters have hijacked this brand to try fool visitors into thinking that WinDrawWin somehow endorses their tips.
